Privacy Policy
Effective July 20, 2026
The short version: College Hockey Dynasty is a single-player game. Your dynasty saves stay on your device. We don't require an account, don't collect personal information, and don't run ads or third-party trackers. The only thing you can opt into sharing is an anonymous count of which features get used — off by default toggle is in Settings any time.
Information We Collect
Game saves. Your dynasty — rosters, seasons, recruiting decisions, everything — is generated and stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate a server, and the app never transmits your save data to us or to anyone else.
Anonymous usage analytics (opt-in, on by default). The app can count aggregate, anonymous in-app actions — for example, how many games get simulated, how many seasons get started, or how often a feature like the transfer portal gets used — so we know which parts of the game people actually use. These counts:
- are not tied to your name, email, or any account — the app doesn't have accounts
- include no device identifier, advertising ID, or IP address
- include no location data
- can be turned off at any time from Settings → Share Usage Data, which immediately stops any further counting
We do not use this data to identify you individually, and we have no way to connect it back to a specific person or device.
No account, no permissions. The app does not ask you to sign up or log in, and does not request access to your camera, photo library, contacts, microphone, or location.
In-App Purchases
Optional purchases (a one-time unlock for extra save slots and data packs, and optional tips) are processed entirely through Apple's StoreKit and the App Store. We never see or store your payment details — Apple handles that transaction and is bound by Apple's own privacy policy.
Data Storage & Device Backup
Your save data lives only on your device. If you have iCloud Backup turned on at the system level (Settings on your iPhone/iPad, not inside our app), Apple's OS-level device backup may include this app's local data as part of your overall phone backup — that's governed by your own Apple ID and iCloud settings, not by us, and we never receive a copy of it.
Third-Party Services
College Hockey Dynasty does not include advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or data brokers of any kind. The app uses a handful of open-source Swift libraries for on-screen animations and UI components (progress bars, transitions, and similar visual effects) — these run entirely on your device to render the interface and do not collect or transmit any data.
Children's Privacy
College Hockey Dynasty is not directed at children under 13, and — consistent with everything above — we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your Choices
- Turn off usage analytics any time from Settings → Share Usage Data.
- Delete all your data by deleting the app — since everything is stored locally, nothing remains on our end to delete, because we never had it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the revised version at this same address.
